Chico Bags {Review & Giveaway}

Usually whenever I think about using a reusable bag, I then think about how many other things I have to carry into the store.  Diaper bag, kid #1, hold kid #2's hand, did I remember to put my keys in my purse?....

Well.  Now with Chico bag you will have room in your purse for your resuable bag.  With everyone pushing towards being green it helps to have a company that strives to make it easier on us!  The Chico Bags are designed to fold up into a little pouch that can fit almost anywhere.  It also features a clip so that you can attach it to your purse, bike or even Kid #2 :).

I was able to review the Karma bag.  I love the designs on it.  The Karma bag has a large fourty pound carrying capacity and the straps are long enough for you to put it over your shoulder (because really, how many hands must a mom have!?)
See the little tiny integrated pouch it folds up into!?

They have a lot of designs to choose from-- go and see what one you need!

They have bags for bikers, water bottles and even your produce!  They have 3 different produce bags depending on what your produce needs.

NOW... .For the part you "freebie lovers" wait for...

The giveaway!

One lucky winner will win two mesh produce bags!

These are great for apples, oranges, onions and potatoes!
AND...
Just to make things fun... If there are 100 comments or more on this giveaway...
I will choose 2 winners!
the other winner will get a mesh produce bag as well AND a Karma bag!  So spread the word!

My daughters received two of these super fun JELLO books from A Book Full.

Compost Garden Book {Review and Giveaway}-CLOSED

Comment #2, Mandy is the winner. I will be contacting you for your mailing address. Congratulations!

How's your garden growing? Hopefully you have been able to enjoy lots of yummy vegetables so far and are watching and waiting for more to come. I know we are! We have actually already harvested: spinach, peas, lettuce, carrots, garlic, onions, cucumbers, zucchini, summer squash, basil, peppers, raspberries, and strawberries. A few of our vegetables are finished for the season and we are getting ready to replant for a fall harvest. My gardening friend told me that I should freshen up the garden with fresh compost before I plant so I am working on that.

I am new to composting, but I am starting to get excited about it. (I'm saving eggshells, all my vegetable scraps, lawn clippings, shredded newspaper, and just asked a coffee shop if I could have their old coffee grounds. I even got a little cow manure from my Dad's ranch!) I just rescently had a chance to review another book from Stoney Publishing entitled The Complete Compost Gardening Guide.

This book interested me because it taught how to create compost piles on site, right in your vegetable or flower garden. I have been looking at purchasing a compost bin, and they are kind of expensive, so reading about this method seemed like a more affordable method for us currently. There is something rewarding about growing a garden that is very addicting. I love the idea of using "garbage" I would have normally just have thrown out to make a rich beautiful soil. Last year we purchased our compost for our square foot garden boxes, we will not be doing that again.

Here's how to enter this giveaway:

1. Follow SMS blog on Facebook or if you are already a follower, like this post on facebook.

2. Enter another one of SMS's weekly giveaways

3. Recommend this website to a friend. (You get an extra entry for every new friend who becomes a fan on Facebook or a follower of SMS's blog.)

Giveaway ends at midnight 8/15 (PDT). Winner will be chosen via random.org and will have 48 hours to claim their prize. Winner will be emailed or posted on blog. Open to US contestants only.

Eco Store Cleaning Products {Review and Giveaway}-CLOSED

Winner: Comment #3 Lynda!!

There is just something about getting new cleaning products that makes
you want to, dare I say it, clean!

I rescently had the opportunity to review two cleaning products from EcoStore. First impressions are a big thing and I thought the smell was nice, not harsh and chemically smelling, but it smelled fresh and lemony. I used the All Purpose Cleaner first.

I liked it for my bathroom counters and walls. I then used the Cream Cleanser for my sinks and tub and my husband and I (yes I even get my husband to review products with me :)) found that they worked just as well as some of the products we were currently using.

So then why try this product if they work the same as you currently have? I like the idea behind them. Eco Store makes plant based, non-toxic household cleaning products that contain no nasty chemicals allowing you to keep toxic products out of your house and away from children.

They are an environmentally friendly company.
Ecostore is going to give a reader the same two products I rescentely reviewed: the Lemon Cream Cleanser and the Ciutrus Based All Purpose Cleaner. We hope your home feels safer and smells cleaner after using these products!

They also have great all natural products for your children!

Mandatory Entry:
Check out EcoStore online and tell us one thing about them or their products that you did not know. (Another thing I like about them is that they offer free shipping on orders over $25! That's always a good thing)
