Advent Calendar {Review & Giveaway}

**so sorry! the links work now! Blogger keeps adding 'www.blogger.com' before each thing I put in!**

EVERY year I tell myself "one day, I am going to get a cute Advent Calendar for Christmas..." and well, it has been 4 years now. Every year I start thinking about it around Dec. 1st and then decide... oh well... now its too late to make one. Or, "I will wait for them to go on sale..." FINALLY Baby Bird Creations helped me with that!
I got this in the mail yesterday! I was really sad though however, because it must have been shipped next to an elephant! My muffin tin is now pretty bent in the middle. (Baby Bird Creations was really helpful in offering to send a new one).
All in all, I am excited to start counting down for Christmas (better late than never! Besides, I will be able to use it next year and the year after...)

They also sell.... custom silhouettes
and LOTS of cute onesies!

My thoughts:

Selection- Baby Bird Creations sells mostly Advent Calendars, silhouettes and onesies right now.

Product quality- Well, I had a bad experience because mine was damaged in the mail, however Baby Bird Creations was eager to fix the mistake and provide a new product for me to replace the damaged one. The paper numbers had four magnets on the backs of them which allowed them stay on pretty well, and they are made from a nice variety of paper with some cute embellishments.

Price- It costs $32 for the calendar and $12 for shipping. It seems a little high for me, but 10% of each and every sale is given to Shaohannah's Hope so you are helping a good cause as well.

Promptness- It takes up to 10 days to allow for the calendar to be made and shipped to you, that isn’t too bad (especially during the holidays).

Overall- I like the advent calendar idea and am excited to use it. They were eager to fix the damages caused by the mail which made for great customer care! I like that they donate some of the proceeds to a charity.

Suggestions- I would suggest to Baby Bird Creations to allow a way to hang the Advent Calendar. I don’t know where I will put mine that will be out of the way of my kids, and I am not one to go drill a hole for a ribbon. I also would have loved to have it filled with the advent activities as well as provide a list for additional ideas, this way I don’t have to do additional work.

I like all of your Sweetin it up posts. They always make me smile and want to go give my handsome hubby a smooch. The sacredness and importance of marriage is being attacked more than ever in our world, and it's great that you are doing posts to strengthen our marriages. Our kids need strong, happy parents!

OK, this may sound dumb, but one of my favorite posts was the DIY Laundry soaps, because I've actually been wondering/thinking about whether I could do that and then, voila, I look at your blog and you've already posted it. So, random, I know, but it's something that was already on my mind. Does that make sense?

I'm a follower, of course. :)

I bought the nativity advent calendar last year after Christmas for half off. My kids have loved moving the star this year.
