Container Gardening Book {Review & Giveaway}-Closed

Winner: Comment #11 - April!

When Storey Publishing first gave me the Container Gardening book to review
I instantly thought of a handful of people I could give the book to as a gift.

How cute would it be-buy a unique container at a yard sale or thrift shop,
clean it up and make it presentable, put the book in the container and
tie the whole thing up with a piece of ribbon and a hand held shovel.
Cute, huh. I thought I could give it to my step mother-in-law,
my co-worker, my friend, my grandma, and the list goes on.

Although I still think it would make a cute gift idea,
I'm keeping mine.
(I'll probably have to buy another one as a gift :)).
You're garden is about to become the envy of the neighborhood.

I have always wanted to learn how to make a flower arrangement and this book teaches you how to make a living flower arrangement-mixing the right potted plants together to make a masterpiece in a pot. (After you get this book you will start noticing some very ugly container gardens and start planning your well organized container garden).
This book also guides you through the process of thinking of containers that you might already have. It teaches you how to make plain pots into a weathered pot (using yogurt) or how to make a neat looking verdigris effect with a galvanized bucket. I'm telling you, you want this book!
It is your lucky day and you may just be the one chosen to receive this book for your very own.

I love gardens, but I usually get a little too ambitious. I tend to plant too much so I end up not being able to take care of it. Container gardens might help me keep things a little more under control.

I am attempting to grow some Tomatos right now. They are still in the infancy stage right now so I will keep my fingers crossed!

My gardening experience is next to nil but I am looking forward to learning how to container garden this summer

Right now I'm a lot more limited than I'd like to be by some of the local wildlife. The deer here eat practically everything (including my holly bush). I'd love to have a veggie garden but between the ground hogs and deer, there's not much of a point. The best I can do right now is a Topsy Turvy or two of tomatoes off the deck, a few jalapenos in a box, and a fair selection of herbs.

I LOVE gardening whether it be flower gardening or veggie gardening. I've tried both. This year, I'm trying to start flower gardening, and making my yard look good. BUT..what's most discouraging is I just can NOT seem to keep them alive! LOL As much as I love it, I just don't have a green thumb. I'm always having to have my mom revive them for me!

Would love to have this book! Maybe it would teach me a thing or two! :)
