SHED Your Stuff, Change Your Life Book {Review & Giveaway}- CLOSED

WINNER: comment #4 Lauren

SHED Your Stuff, Change Your Life: A Four-Step Guide to Getting Unstuck
I love books that make you really think and especially non-fiction books that help you discover new ideas about real life. SHED Your Stuff, Change Your Life is a new book by Julie Morgenstern that really does give one a lot to think about.
Ms. Morgenstern has written several books on time management and organization but she has written the SHED book with a little different twist in mind. This book is geared toward helping the reader figure out what is keeping them from doing what they really want with their life and how to conquer those issues. She says there are “three tangible realms in your life to look for attachments that you can SHED.” First, your physical space including your belongings; second, your time including tasks and obligations; and the third realm is bad habits. She says “you are likely to find clutter culprits in all three realms.” For me personally, I have been good at SHEDing my spaces but I discovered from reading this book that I have plenty of time wasters and bad habits in my daily life that needed to be addressed.

One drawback to SHED is that it was kind of hard to get through. I also could not really relate to most of the clients she used as examples in the book because I am a stay-at-home mom and all of them were career-oriented men and women.
SHED Your Stuff, Change Your Life did a good job of identifying the problems we, as humans, have with not accomplishing all we want out of life. The solutions given, however, were a little too complicated and wordy for me and hard to discover amongst all of the extra stuff that was written about.

You have the chance to win this book!

The first thing I need to shed would be computer time! It seems to take up sooo much time (without even realizing it!). Secondly, would be my collection of magazines!! They pile up quick!

I need to shed time on things prioritized incorrectly. I would love to find out how to manage everything a little better.

I need to shed stuff that I haven't used in the last five years. If I haven't used it for that long, I probably don't need it.

Lauren

Judging from all the crud still sitting in boxes from my move three months ago, I think I need to shed some stuff.

I have 2 things. I need to shed the weight I have put on since having my daughter and I also need to get off the computer more. I have my blog and my part time job so My tife is surrounded by my iphone and the computer. I didnt think it was a huge problem until i realized that my entire day is surrounded by technology. I need to get out and live a little.
