The Children You Want with the Kids You Have Book {Review & Giveaway}- CLOSED

Winner: comment #2 Nadell

Marie Ricks from House of Order really hit home with her The Children You Want with the Kids you Have book! I have young kids and always hear people with older kids complaining about how they can't get their kids to do...homework, clean up, chores... and the list goes on and on! I then would start to worry about my kids! They love doing all that right now so "How do I keep them working when they are older?" Marie Ricks helps us out with this!

Book Synopsis:
"Do you want to know the secret of getting kids to work? Train them early!
If you want your children to work together, finish their chores, complete their homework, and take care of their own personal hygiene and possessions, you have to train them. And it usually takes a helping hand and a few hints from someone who has "been there - done that." These suggestions, charts, and to-do lists from professional organize Marie Ricks will get you well on your way to having a clean home, a well-kept yard, and helpful, hardworking, on-their-way-to-being-independent children.

With this no-nonsense book, you will find:

Age-specific charts for chores

Fast-Clean and Deep-Clean check-off lists

Instructions for setting up your own Training Children to Work Master Plan

The right thing to say and the right way to say it to get the job done"

My thoughts:
I loved this book! (My kids probably won't love it....) I LOVE how Marie lists the things that your children should do at certain ages. She has a "Master Plan" for ages 2-6, 6-12, 12-18. This gives you an idea of what to expect from your children and how to implement it. Marie also lists "Summertime Chores" that your children should get in the habit of doing and learning. I love how she walks you through different senarios and helps you figure out what you should say. There is SO much in this book! I love it and will keep in handy so that I can refer to it often. I recommend this book 100%!
