Make your own Bisquick!
Something I used to save time usually is Bisquick! My 3 year old even has the pancakes recipe memorized (2 cups of Bisquick, 1 c. milk, 2 eggs). She only eats pancakes and waffles for breakfast (with an occasional muffins and oatmeal mixed in there). We used to spend A LOT of money on Bisquick!
Now I make my own and SAVE MONEY instead. I even make it using whole wheat. All it takes is:
8 c. flour (I use 4 c. of whole wheat flour, and 4 c. white)
8 tsp. baking powder
4 tsp salt
1 1/2 c. shortening
Combine all the dy ingredients and then mix in the shortening with a pastry blender (or fork). I store mine in an airtight container in the freezer so it stays fresh and lasts a long time.
YUM!! I love whole wheat pancakes!!!

I had no idea one could make their own pancake mix. Thanks for posting that.
Thanks - does it really work the same?
Yes, it works the EXACT same! If a recipe calls for 1 c. of bisquick- just use 1 c. of this!!
